Decent parking lot scene - didn't really see any cops or security. No Johnny Johns anywhere, so people were walking to the edge of the lot to the tree line.
Went in at 7, got some beer and by 7:15 or so the band was getting on stage. A good Hell in a Bucket and Miss. 1/2 Step, to start! Wasn't familiar with Big Bad Blues, but the rest of the set was solid, with Casey Jones a big sing along. Security was almost non-existant.
The 2nd set was killer... with Estimated Prophet, Eyes, Fire and Dear Prudence being standouts! Everybody was 'on', the entire group - music and vocals! Knockin on Heaven's Door was a nice way to let the crowd down gently and send the hippies on their way! We went right to the car and were out of the lot within 5 minutes - no hassle!
It's always a great 8 hour vacation! Too bad we're not heading to MSG - NYC always brings out the very best in the boys (and girl)! Always did. Everybody have a good time on the tour and be safe!

Highlights!
Mean Mr. Mustard>more Beatles! nice jam at end.
Casey Jones-How cool is it that they are playing this semi-regularly! The jam and vocals end in such the frenzy!!!
"and you know that notion just crossed my mind"
2nd Set
Sat Night-anywhere but the encore for this one.
The Weight>Wow! Please play this regularly.
Only thing missing was a line for Phil.
Nice interplay between Bob and Sunshine at the close
Dear Prudence- This version is growing on me but I am still wanting to hear JK share some of the vocals.
Sunshine and Jeff provide depth here.
E: Knockin On Heavens Door-This is so very sweet.
Just mellow and BoB is fantastic with the lyrics.

My Hometown Arena. The boys were here in April of 2009 as The Dead. Sound was tough then too! Parking lot is fantastic! Security is not an issue. They were sizzlin' from the Get-Go! The energy from the crowd was rowdy! Never seen anything like it. Hell in a Bucket to open! I had a flashback to the Garden in Sept. of 87!!! JK was wonderful on MHS and Althea. Big Blues for Allah presence during the show. Loved IT!!! Glow sticks everywhere. Got cracked in the head during with one during Casey Jones which I thought would never end. Fantastic way to end the first set. Second Set, we couldn’t ask for more. Estimated! Viola Lee! The Weight! Wished Phil sang a verse. We got him on Eyes though. Too bad I couldn’t hear him though because the crowd was singing so loud. Never seen Jeff so loose on the Keys. He was so animated; I had to make sure it was him. I hope we can keep the energy going. Couldn’t go back to New England or down to Virginia, but I hope to see you friends at the Garden. God Bless and Pass It Forward!!!
